Arala has no idea where she's from or who her parents are. She does know that when she was roughly 6 turns, her home was destroyed in a fire, killing all. After that, she wandered around on the Southern Continent for a sevenday or so before meeting up with a trading wagon.
She left the wagon when she turned 14, and lived on her own in the forest in a nomadic lifestyle until she met Cinda, green Shirath's rider. Cinda took Arala, at the age of 15, to Landing, where she apprenticed herself to the StarSmith Hall.
She worked hard there, but because of her dedication, she was promoted to journeyman at just 17 turns, a year younger than usual.
